Lisa Vanderpump remembers Kyle Richards‘s friendship fondly but doesn’t see them becoming close again as LVP thinks Kyle has a strained relationship with the truth.
During an episode of Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, LVP shared insight into her closeness with the RHOBH OG before she and Ken Todd said, “GOODBYE, KYLE.”
LVP is looking for honesty:
“It would be nice for her just to tell the truth. But, as we’ve seen as the show has transpired, not always been that truthful about her own life and her own feelings.”
“Maybe if she came from an honest place and thought, ‘Maybe I did get it wrong.’ Why would she reignite a friendship with me if she thought I was a liar. Why would you? I wouldn’t if I truly believed that.”
“She comes up to me sometimes if I cross paths with her. They say the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s indifference. I’m indifferent to her. That’s all.”
A friendship missed:
While Lisa misses what she and Kyle shared, she doesn’t miss “the path we went down.”
“I think if anyone’s aggressive with you and they call you a liar, no. I don’t need that in my life. But, I miss what we had. I think we had this unique friendship. That’s what I enjoyed. I loved the late-night phone calls and we would giggle and laugh together.”
LVP maintains she was a good friend to Kyle. “I was always there for her. She had a very tumultuous relationship with her sisters, as we’ve seen. I was a sounding board for her. [Also,] an advocate for them to always trying to keep that relationship on solid ground.”
