Lala Kent is clearing things up after viewers noticed her eldest daughter, Ocean, was missing from a major family moment on The Valley.
After Sosa’s first birthday party aired, fans were quick to question why Ocean wasn’t shown — especially since the celebration centered around Lala’s family.
Taking to Instagram on April 9, The Valley star addressed the speculations.
“Apparently a lot of people were wondering where Ocean was in last night’s episode of The Valley,” she said in a video shared to her carousel.
Some viewers even went as far as to speculate favoritism between her daughters.
“So dumb,” Lala said, shutting that down immediately.
Ocean was at the party but she just couldn’t be filmed.
“She’s not allowed to film you guys, you know this.”
The reason comes down to consent.
Ocean’s father, Randall Emmett, has not agreed to have her appear on camera.
This has been a consistent rule since Lala’s Vanderpump Rules days.
“Ocean was here, she was thriving and it’s a travesty that she can not be on camera,” Lala added.
Meanwhile, baby Sosa — who Lala conceived via IUI — can appear on the show since Lala is her sole legal decision maker.
ICYMI: Lala and Randall share Ocean, who was born March 15, 2021. After a lengthy custody battle following their 2021 split, the former couple reached a legal agreement in March 2025.
