Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak was reportedly hit with a debt of over $160K to the Internal Revenue Service.
Us Weekly reported that the IRS filed a lien against the estranged wife of Kroy Biermann earlier this month.
Wig’s (latest) debt:
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filed a lien on Dec. 11 totaling $163,804.30 against the RHOA alum for unpaid taxes for three years. Kim owes the government $104,009.82 for 2019, $24,471.87 for 2023 and $35,322.71 for 2024.
This is the second lien the IRS has filed against her.
Kim and Kroy had a federal tax lien filed against them in April 2023. “The two owed $1.1 million for unpaid taxes, interest, and penalties from 2013, 2017, and 2018.” The report also stated they owed the state of Georgia $15,000 for unpaid taxes for 2018.
Kim and Kroy’s financial history:
The mother of six has been facing financial troubles since her split from Kroy in May 2023. In August 2023, Saks Fifth Avenue and Capital One sued Kim for more than $150,000 in unpaid credit card fees.
Kim and Kroy were ordered to pay Simmons Bank more than $230,000 after they defaulted on a home equity line of credit later that year.
In June 2024, she was ordered to pay a $2,482.24 Target bill. A Georgia judge ruled in favor of a complaint filed by Target National Bank, claiming she “failed, neglected, and refused” to pay off her credit card.
Kim’s get out of (financial) jail card?!?
The former Bravolebrity is dating entrepreneur Kyle Mowitz.
After Kroy learned she Kim dating Kyle, he reportedly warned Kyle’s estranged wife, Jillian Green, that the reality star would “financially … drain money from Kyle.”
A June deposition regarding Mowitz and Green’s divorce revealed that Jillian claimed Kroy also told her that Kim “was narcissistic and had a gambling problem.” Additionally, Kim “wasn’t present for her children.”
Kroy filed for divorce from Kim in 2023 after nearly 11 years of marriage. They share four minor children. He also adopted her two eldest daughters.
