Despite playing one on TV, Kim Kardashian revealed she’s not a lawyer just yet.
The reality star turned actress shared with her Instagram followers on Saturday, November 8, that despite her six-year journey, she didn’t pass the bar exam.
“Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up—just more studying and even more determination,” she wrote on her Stories.
Still, Kim’s taking it in stride.
“Falling short isn’t failure—it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more. Let’s go!!!!!!!!!!!”
ICYMI: Given just twice a year, the California bar exam includes five one-hour essay questions, one 90-minute performance test, and 200 multiple-choice questions.
According to the California State Bar’s website, about 16,000 people take it each year.
Kim did previously pass the baby bar in 2021 and officially graduated from law school on May 21, 2025.
Her legal journey was inspired by her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr.—the Armenian-American attorney and businessman best known for his role in the O.J. Simpson murder trial.
Robert passed away from esophageal cancer in 2003 at age 59.
Outside of reality TV and pop culture fame, Kim’s made it her mission to focus on criminal justice reform—making undeniable progress in that space.
