In the City personality Kenny Martin has a lot to say about the Summer House cast.
In an interview with TMZ, Kenny dished on Amanda Batula and West Wilson‘s relationship, KJ Dillard‘s mental health journey, and his spat with Lindsay Hubbard.
Scamanda:
“In terms of the timeline, there seem to be some holes,” explained Kenny. “When you’re on these shows, people talk. They came right off of Summer House, and there was chatter before they made their statement. I don’t know if people are buying the timeline.”
“I give Kyle a lot of respect for how he’s handled this situation. If it were me, I don’t know that I could handle it as well as he has. Kyle’s been my boy. Amanda made some bad decisions. I don’t know if that means she’s evil. Hopefully she can grow from it, and they can move on with their lives, after episodes two and three of the reunion.”
Mental health matters:
Kenny continued, “The most important thing from that reunion was KJ really bringing awareness to mental health is God’s work. My mother was schizophrenic, I lost a friend to bipolar last year, so I think that that was a big part of that night.”
“I hope KJ and Dara are good. I hope he’s good.” Kenny is confident KJ can (and should) return to Summer House. Destigmatizing mental health is something that has to happen.”
Mother Hubbard:
After Kenny admitted he hasn’t spoken to Lindsay since their on-screen spat, he made sure to hype her up. This man knows where his Bravo bread is getting buttered!
“Lindsay is the goat. She’s been around for ten years. This show wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for Lindsay. So I respect everything she’s done. But, at the same time, she’s got a big personality. So do I. When it comes to defending my relationship, there’s a lot that wasn’t seen there. I’m always going to defend Whitney and defend the decisions we’ve made in our relationship.”
“I wouldn’t say there’s no relationship [with Lindsay]. I respect her. She’s great for the show, and she’s very opinionated. That’s good for TV. Sometimes you just have to stand your ground.”
