Real Housewives of Orange County alum Kelly Dodd claimed her daughter, Jolie Dodd, “completely changed” after a trip to Europe.
During an appearance on the Hate to Break It to Ya podcast, Kelly blamed college for the change in Jolie, despite her “wonderful upbringing.”
“She went to Paris and got woke. I’m serious. I’m dead serious. It’s not even a joke.” Kelly claimed her college sophomore daughter could be getting “brainwashed” as she studies in France.
“[She’s] getting woke, getting indoctrinated. It’s a socialist country. It became that. You get brainwashed in college. They get brainwashed. [The colleges are] all left-leaning.”
According to Kelly, Jolie “doesn’t believe in ICE” and gets into arguments with her mom about human rights. “She won’t let you talk. She won’t listen,” Kelly claimed. “We got in a fight, and she went to her dad’s. She hasn’t lived with her dad [Michael] ever. She’s always lived with me. I raised her.”
Kelly wonders if she should have followed a different parenting style as her daughter went from a teenager to a young adult. “Do you know Carnie Wilson? I love Carnie. She’s one of my favorite people of all time. But her parenting style, I need to learn from her. I’m the complete opposite of her. I’m listening to the way she’s raising her daughter. She lets her sleep until one or two in the morning and then sleeps until noon. She allows this. I was the antithesis of that.”
The former RHOC personality described herself as a “hard ass” who is “strict.” Kelly added, “My daughter didn’t like the rules, and right now, she’s rebelling.”
