Southern Charm alum JT Thomas shared his thoughts about Donald Trump posting an AI-generated video of Barack and Michelle Obama as apes.
Calling the president’s post “horrible,” JT began, “This video is for black people from a white person in 2026.”
Speaking out against racism:
“After the Obamas’ faces were pinned using Artificial Intelligence onto monkeys is flagrantly racist.” JT declared, “It’s evil. We can not let this be normalized or swept under the rug.”
The Bravolebrity pontificated, “I’ve never been black. My soul’s only known what it’s like to be in a white suit.” JT considered a hypothetical. “But I have to imagine that if the roles were reversed, I would want every single black person to condemn that type of racism towards white people. And be like, ‘I’m sorry that you had to even put that in your prefrontal cortex from that black, racist President.’ Think about that. Roles reversed. I can’t relate.”
“But I try,” persisted JT. “If I’m brown or if I’m black, I’m scared of being thrown in a concentration camp, got all my papers on me. I got the President who might as well be wearing a white gown with a triangle hat and an eye slit. I’m going like, ‘what dystopia is this?'”
Getting out of this cycle:
“We know we can’t retaliate with violence. We can only retaliate with our mind. My mind is telling me that the only way to deal with this is to do this. Say ‘This is not ok,’ so that we are heard. So we can all hopefully lock arms, stay together in solidarity and love, get to November and use a fair election and avoid insurrection and martial law. That’s what they want.”
JT reminded his followers, “This is to condemn evil and racism. To my black friends that I love, I’m speaking up for you. I’m telling all the white people and anyone else who wants to listen, we gotta come together for solidarity. We gotta get through peacefully til November. Peace and love from New Zealand.”
ICYMI, JT moved from America after DJT was reelected.
