Bravo TV stars are trading the confessionals for the stage!
Several Real Housewives of past and present are joining the cast of Neil Simon’s hit comedy Rumors. The revival will bring a taste of reality TV star power to the upcoming theatrical revival.
The production will feature two separate casts of familiar faces, according to reports from Playbill.
The casts:
The first cast will perform from January 9 through February 28, 2027. This lineup includes Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna as Chris, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks as Claire, Real Housewives of Potomac personality Stacey Rusch as Cookie, and Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania as Cassie.
A second group of Housewives will take over the roles beginning March 2 and running through April 21. This cast features RHOA‘s alum Cynthia Bailey as Chris, RHOBH star Eileen Davidson as Claire, Real Housewives of New York‘s Carole Radziwill as Cookie, and RHOP alum Candiace Dillard-Bassett as Cassie.
Rumors:
Originally premiering in 1988, Rumors is a farce centered on a group of wealthy couples who gather for the tenth wedding anniversary party of NYC Deputy Mayor Charley Brock. The evening takes a chaotic turn when Brock is discovered injured, and his wife is missing. As the guests attempt to conceal what happened, a series of increasingly ridiculous misunderstandings unfolds.
The play’s themes of scandal, secrets, and keeping up appearances seem particularly fitting for the Bravo personalities. The production will bring a fresh perspective to Simon’s classic comedy without changing the original script.
“What excites me about reimagining Rumors through the lens of The Real Housewives is how naturally these two worlds collide.” The director continued, “Without changing a single word of Simon’s brilliant text, we can reveal something new in the piece: The delicious chaos that unfolds when private lives become public spectacle.”
