Janet Caperna is shutting down rumors that she and husband Jason fled the country to dodge backlash from The Valley.
ICYMI: The reality star recently revealed on her podcast that she’s been hit with a wave of hate — including death threats — following her reception on the Bravo spinoff.
Since then, Janet and Jason have been posting from abroad, prompting a slew of clickbait headlines speculating the couple had skipped town to escape the drama.
But Janet is setting the record straight.
Taking to Instagram Stories, she addressed the growing chatter while plugging the very podcast episode where she opened up about the hate.
“We’ve had a bunch of people reach out asking if we are okay,” she began. “This is a much-needed, planned family vacation we’re on. We are in Switzerland and it’s been lovely.”
Janet thanked “friends, family, and strangers” for checking in, before cheekily signing off with:
“We will be unfleeing and returning to the United States.”
But based on the comment section under our post sharing Janet’s video… a lot of people aren’t exactly buying what she’s selling.
