Vanderpump Rules alum James Kennedy returns to SUR on September 23rd to DJ a charity event for Midnight Mission.
The promo:
The caption in the former Vanderpump Rules personality and SUR’s joint post stated, “It’s start with a pulse!💓 Join @itsjameskennedy for an electrifying evening of sounds at SUR ⚡️”.
“Get ready to dance, celebrate, and give back! Proceeds from the event will benefit @themidnightmission Tuesday September 23rd , 8pm. Tickets available on Eventbrite / link in bio.”
James posted the following message in the comments. “Wow. SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY RETURNS FOR A SPECIAL, ONLY ONCE THIS YEAR EVENT, AND HERE IT IS! Pump-TINI! See you soon 💜💟”
Let’s start with the positive:
This is an event for charity. Proceeds (there no indication of how much of the proceeds) will be donated to a local Los Angeles foundation for a great cause.
What is The Midnight Mission? According to their website, The Midnight Mission works to combat poverty and homelessness.
“Thanks to caring donations, we are able to provide individuals and families experiencing homelessness with a secure place to sleep and three nutritious meals a day. Our job training classes, medical services, addiction recovery program, domestic violence counseling, and the wide range of other essential services that we provide are designed to get people off the streets and into productive new lives.”
And now, a taste of reality:
Skeptics have voiced their disgust at James being promoted at SUR after multiple physical attacks on women, the latest being last December, when James was arrested for DV.
James’ history of abuse (that we saw on VPR) started with Kristen Doute and continued with Rachel Leviss. While authorities weren’t involved in these cases, James’ neighbors in Burbank called the police after James was seen throwing Ally Lewber to the ground.
Ally didn’t press charges.
Cancel culture:
(I don’t think cancel culture exists, but we can save that story for another day…)
Here’s an FYI for the non-Vegas locals. James has been DJing in Las Vegas again for months now. I see his mug on billboards all the time.
Keep in mind, Vanderpump Rules fans flock to SUR while degenerates flock to Vegas.
There’s a dark ‘bro‘ culture in Vegas of crypto douchebags and Tate Brother enthusiasts (James is part of that community), and they’ve not stopped supporting James’ career.
