House of Stassi star Stassi Schroeder felt great about herself after her first year walking in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show, but was compared to SpongeBob in her second year.
Stassi, who formerly starred on Vanderpump Rules, told Evan and Danny at Page Six Radio how the haters affected her peace. “The first year was really amazing. The second year, the trolls got to me.”
Critics compared her “rectangle” body to that of SpongeBob SquarePants. While Stassi said her critics were “not wrong,” she wonders if she can endure the negativity that comes with the fashion show for a third year in a row. Though she feels “just a little insecure” in light of the negative feedback, Stassi enjoyed participating in the event.
“I love doing it, I feel so f*cking empowered, the girls are so nice. The atmosphere, the energy, it’s such a girl power vibe. Everyone’s there just lifting each other up. So, I really love doing it.”
Regarding the trolls, Stassi has gotten “really good” at not letting hate get to her. If you believe all of the positive stuff you read, you have to believe all the negative stuff you read. So, I don’t believe anything.”
