Gia Giudice remains positive that her mom, Teresa Giudice, and her uncle, Joe Gorga, can mend their broken relationship.
The Next Gen NYC personality told Page Six about her hopes that the adults in her family will reconcile, because it has affected the kids.
Gia’s parents are her inspo:
The oldest of Teresa’s four dorters noted how she watched her parents make amends after their 2020 divorce, for the sake of their girls. Watching them remain close gives Gia hope for Teresa’s fractured relationship with the Gorgas.
“Obviously, my mother and father are divorced, and I am extremely close with my dad’s side,” she explained. “So, I think that’s where my sisters and I, we know that it’s possible,” she continued. “Even though your parents aren’t best friends or stuff didn’t work out, there’s still a way and room to have a relationship.”
Gia also revealed that the feud has trickled down to the younger generation, and therefore, she no longer has a relationship with her cousins. She called the estrangement with her cousins “definitely unfortunate.”
Give peace a chance:
Admittedly, Gia said that she doesn’t know if they have a plan in place to move forward. However, she’s hopeful that achieving a “happy medium” and “peace for everyone” is attainable.
The rift between her mom and the Gorgas may be harder to patch up because RHONJ heightened the tension between them. “Unfortunately, I think the circumstances were a little different just because it got so crazy on ‘Housewives.’ It was just a lot.”
“I don’t blame it on either one of us for not maintaining a relationship. I think it was difficult. I’m just hoping for peace and just some clarity between both of them.”
Gia aired a grievance about the RHONJ fandom:
The iHeartRadio podcaster dislikes how fans of the show have divided into “teams” because of the feud.
According to Gia, there’s a sinister undertone in choosing “Team Giudice” or “Team Gorga.”
“It’s so stupid because at the end of the day, you’re basically just hoping for a family to stay broken,” lamented Gia.
