Erin Lichy defends her decision to call her husband on speaker phone during the cast trip to Puerto Rico.
The Real Housewives of New York finale is teased as “very dark” and “surprising.”
The fight from the penultimate episode teed up the finale quite well — the house is in shambles and Erin Lichy’s husband Abe, was the first domino to fall.
Brynn Whitfield continued to lean into the sexpot Sonja Morgan style persona and encourages Erin to “send nudes to her dude.”
Erin decided to call Abe (on speaker) to insinuate a spicy moment over the phone. Brynn opted to join in the fun, asking “Abe the babe” probing question.
Ubah Hassan found the moment tasteless and stormed out of the group circle in protest. She felt the call was inappropriate and disrespectful toward her marriage.
The Mezcalum owner got upset because she felt Ubah insinuated she wasn’t a good wife for calling him on camera.
However, Erin clarified what happened before the call.

The expecting mother commented on a clip from the episode, saying:
“Spoiler alert – I texted Abe beforehand and he knew. ”
If Ubah had known Erin told Abe about the call prior; it would have resulted in a different series of events.
But, the group is already fractured and at odds, so this blowup was destined to happen.
Ubah’s sentiment might be right, but she went about it totally wrong.
