Emma Slater is calling out an online publication for what she feels is a disrespectful description of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles.
The Dancing With the Stars pro took to Instagram to blast a headline published by Yahoo Sports that referred to Simone as an “NFL wife.”
“To describe Simone Biles as an NFL wife is shameful,” Emma began on June 10.
“After all that she is and that she’s achieved, the history that she’s made, and what she’s known for across the world.”
The Season 24 Mirrorball champion continued:
“I really tried not to post about this or to have strong opinions, but WTF is that? Seriously, can’t ignore.”

However, back in 2023, Jonathan faced similar criticism after fans felt he minimized Simone’s career.
The NFL player claimed he had never heard of Simone prior to matching with her on the dating app Raya in 2020.
He maintained he was busy with college football training camp while Simone was competing in the 2016 Olympics.
Currently, Simone Biles is recovering after a recent medical emergency she described as “near-death” and “the scariest experience of her life.”
While the exact cause remains undisclosed, she has assured fans that she is safe.
