Dorinda Medley is coming to Salley Carson’s defense after the Season 11 Southern Charm reunion sparked backlash over comments about Salley’s dating life.
ICYMI: Madison LeCroy revealed Austen Kroll’s true feelings about Salley Carson’s reputation during the reunion, claiming Austen referred to her as a “bar rat.”
Madison doubled down on the sentiment, telling Salley that if she wants to be taken seriously in a relationship, she should act more like a lady.
As we’ve seen from Salley’s time on Southern Charm, Southern Hospitality, and even The Bachelor, she’s someone who enjoys going out and living her life — which she pointed out herself during the reunion, reminding everyone that she’s single.
Dorinda Medley wasn’t here for the conversation.
The RHONY alum shared the reunion clip to her Instagram Stories and called out what she saw as a clear double standard.
“Is this really a conversation we are having about women’s behavior in 2026? The hypocrisy and slut shaming is disturbing. Salley Carson, do what you want, when you want, how you want. ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!!!!!”
Dorinda’s reaction quickly got fans talking, especially since none of the Southern Charm cast really stepped in to defend Salley during the moment.
IMO, while Austen is entitled to want a partner with a different lifestyle, the exchange highlighted the same double standard we see play out on Bravo again and again.
Even Andy Cohen pointed this out during the reunion, noting that Austen has been just as “out there” as Salley over the years.
