Real Housewives of Rhode Island‘s Liz McGraw and her friend Dolores Catania from Real Housewives of New Jersey weren’t privy to Ashley Iaconetti‘s Bachelor Nation fame before filming with her.
During the Virtual Reali-Tea live event, Dolo and Liz told hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy that they had no idea who Ashley I. was before she was cast on RHORI.
Ashley isn’t built like the other RHORI cast members:
While the majority of the RHORI cast have lived in the smallest state with the biggest drama their whole lives, it’s Ashley’s husband who’s the native Rhode Islander. She’s lived in RI for five years now. Dolo and Liz pontificated whether that’s why Ashley is different in group settings than confessionals.
Liz pointed out that Ashley is a “confessional warrior” but should “bring it in both places.” The cannabis queen continued, “She does really well in her confessionals, and that’s something that didn’t show up in the scenes. Just saying.”
Dolo agreed that Ashley was “very quiet” filming the show, even dubbing her “soft” and “nice.”
Liz added, “She’s a new soul. There’s nothing wrong with that. [Ashley] can’t necessarily relate to us who have real deep-seated sh*t. She’s pure.” With that said, Liz has “never personally tried to make plans with” Ashley.
Bravo ≠ Bachelor Nation
Ashley I. compared Bachelor Nation to the Bravosphere earlier this year. “Being part of this season, at least filming it, was far more dramatic than any ‘Bachelor’ season I’ve ever filmed.”
“These girls are such great reality TV personalities that, like, I’m the one who seems boring.”
“I said in this little [teaser] video that we made that, like, I bring the sanity, and I know that made a lot of people be like, ‘Oh, OK, Ashley.’ But, no, really.’”
For anyone who knows Ashley I. from season 19 of The Bachelor, seasons 2 and 3 of Bachelor in Paradise, and/or The Bachelor Winter Games, this is a new side to her.
