Clare Crawley had zero interest in reuniting with her fellow former Bachelorettes.
The Season 16 lead addressed her absence from promo for The Bachelorette: Before the First Rose after a fan noticed she was MIA.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, Feb. 5, Clare explained that while she initially considered participating, she ultimately decided it wasn’t for her.
“I was super sick,” Clare began.
“The producers asked me to come, and I thought about it since it would be nice to see all the ladies.”
Things changed when she realized she’d have to rehash things from six years ago.
“Hard pass,” she wrote.

In Case You Missed It:
Clare’s season of The Bachelorette is still one of the franchise’s most talked-about.
Just 12 days into filming, she decided she had found “the one” in contestant Dale Moss, stopped dating the other men, and exited early — paving the way for Tayshia Adams to step in as the new lead.
Clare and Dale’s relationship was rocky from the jump, with an initial breakup in January 2021 over differing timelines and locations.
They briefly reconciled before calling it quits for good later that year.
Since then, Clare married Ryan Dawkins in an intimate Sacramento ceremony on Feb. 1, 2023, later making their marriage legally official in Las Vegas in October 2024.
In January 2024, the couple welcomed their first child together via surrogate.
P.S. The Bachelorette: Before the First Rose, will air Sunday, March 15, 2026, immediately following the live Oscars broadcast on ABC and Hulu.
The episode features 18 former Bachelorettes offering advice to Season 22 lead Taylor Frankie Paul.
