Cheryl Burke thinks Tom Sandoval may compete on the 33rd season of Dancing With The Stars. The professional dancer who appeared on 26 seasons of DWTS gave insight into why she thinks Vanderpump Rules villain might slither into the ballroom. Her co-star, on the other hand, thinks another pair of Bravolebrities will compete for the mirrorball.
On a recent episode of the Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans podcast, Cheryl discussed a controversial potential casting decision that has Bravo TV fans in a tizzy. According to Cheryl, The Traitors and DWTS use the same casting director. “Don’t be shocked if you see some similar names (heehee) Tom Sandoval,” teased Cheryl.
Cheryl’s guest, reporter Kristyn Burtt, had a different opinion. “I don’t think that she’ll cast Tom Sandoval. I feel like we’re so over the Scandoval of it all. I think he’s perfect for Traitors because he’s been a villain on Vanderpump Rules for so long. But, I feel that just after Ariana [Madix] just did this particular season, we’ve moved on.”
“My thought was … Jax [Taylor] and Brittany [Cartwright] who are on The Valley,” continued Kristyn. “They are going through this crazy separation. ‘Are they together? Aren’t they together?’ I feel they’re more newsworthy than Sandoval actually is.”
The DWTS alum and her guest chatted about how people “love to hate” Sandoval … which is why many viewers people tune in for the karaoke enthusiast’s antics. During an episode of VPR, Sandoval shared his desire to join the DWTS cast. “I actually took ballroom lessons and everything.”
