Chrisley Knows Best alum Chase Chrisley shared that he turned to alcohol during a time in his life when he tried to bury the traumas he endured, leaving him in rehab.
Chase spoke about his addiction to alcohol:
On The Chrisley’s: Back to Reality, an emotional Chase said it’s “Just a lot of emotions.”
“I just need to go and handle a lot of trauma that I have buried. I just thought that I could bury it, bury it, bury it.”
Chase admitted that he was “scared” to enter treatment. “I just gotta find myself.”
Chase’s family chimed in:
Following his recent pardon from federal prison, Todd Chrisley offered words of encouragement to Chase. “My life’s story is not going to be that I went to prison for 28 months.”
“Your life story does not have to be that I had an alcohol and substance abuse problem. That’s not your life’s story, that’s a part … that’s a chapter.”
Todd admitted he was better prepared to handle Chase’s struggles after working through his eldest son Kyle’s addiction problems.
ICYMI, Chase had a run in with the law:
In January, Chase was arrested for simple battery. He was released on $10k bond.
The police report stated officers from the Atlanta Police Department responded to a call from a local Twin Peaks Sports Bar on Jan. 6.
The general manager “identified” Chase as the person who assaulted him. The report notes that Chase “was no longer on [the] scene” upon the officers’ arrival.
Chase allegedly “became really drunk” at the bar and “started to act very disrespectful and belligerent” as per the police report. The manager asked him to leave “multiple times.”
But, Chase allegedly refused and later “slapped him in the face twice.”
