Turns out, not much was going “down” between Captain Jason and Heather Gay after all!
In Case You Missed It: During the Below Deck Down Under and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City crossover, Heather alluded to her “tryst” with Jason while the two were in Australia doing press for the network.
Heather’s an attractive, accomplished woman with a good sense of humor.
So on paper, it’s not exactly wild to imagine a spark between her and the Below Deck captain.
But according to Captain Jason himself… that’s not quite what happened.
During Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Jason how he felt about Heather outing their supposed “knocked knees” moment on the show.
“Well we hung out in Sydney, as you know,” Jason began.
“What’s in Sydney, stays in Sydney.”
Ever the gentleman, Jason tried to play coy — until he finally cleared things up.
“No, it’s not true,” he confirmed. “What a friendship…beautiful people.”
And that emphasis on the word “friend” said it all.
