Surprisingly, Anne-Marie Wiley, a one and done Housewife from season 13 responded to the rage bait. (I’ll be honest, I totally forgot she existed)
Camille’s Tweet
“Who’s excited for upcoming season of #RHOBH? Second question. Does anyone think that that the franchise has become too woke?”
To which Anne-Marie replied:
“Hi luv! By woke do you mean me being character assassinated and sabotaged with my edit and then fired all because of my belief that biological males shouldn’t compete in women’s sports???You know my answer.”

I couldn’t help but wonder if Camille was alluding to Crystal Kung Minkoff and Garcelle Beauvais‘ conversations surrounding race in the last few seasons.
As we know, Crystal took umbrage with a comment that Sutton Stracke made off camera. This “dark comment” set the wheels in motion for the duo to be at odds all season.
Then we have Garcelle re: Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards. Garcelle felt the ladies use of “attack” in reference to her arguments called back to a shared experience felt by many black women.
The Housewives franchise is no stronger to arguments, aggression, or “attacks” from many of the ladies across all cities. But to be told by an affluent, WASPY woman that you are “attacking” just hits the ear differently when said to a black woman. Playing into the “angry black woman” narrative — hello Brynn Whitfield and Ubah Hassan.
I’m not sure which of the two Camille is referring to, if not for the added diversity in recent years.
Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will introduce a new Housewife — Bozoma Saint John.
I agree we turn on these shows to escape the world and we want to be doled out rich people problems and not things in our personal orbits.
Prejudice doesn’t discriminate, no matter the socio-econmic class.
