Chrishell Stause Wants A “Wholesome” Golden Bachelor … Worries Ageist Mel Owens Will “Ruin” It

Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause seemingly got the ick (like the rest of us) when she learned the next Golden Bachelor, Mel Owens, is looking for love outside of the ‘golden’ generation.

The ick:

Bachelor Nation was disappointed to learn Mel, 66, was interested in dating ladies in their 40s. The former Days of Our Lives star agreed with the masses.

Chrishell took to her Instagram story to share why she and her partner, G Flip, tune into the Bachelor Nation spinoff. (And it’s not to watch crusty old guys creep on younger women.)

“We love the Golden Bachelor because of how wholesome it is,” declared Chrishell of her household’s preference in programming.

The high-end real estate agent said what many of us were thinking. “This type of energy will ruin it.” Chrishell used Bishop Bullwinkle’s song “Hell to Da Naw Naw Naw” in her story.

The Golden Bachelor wants a Silver Bachelorette:

The former NFL player turned lawyer revealed that he hoped for a crop of younger women to date. “They asked me, ‘What’s your preference?’ So I just said [ages] 45 to 60. Just being honest.”

“Then, we had lunch with the executive producer. I said, ‘You know, if they’re 60 or over, I’m cutting them.’” Mel was told he couldn’t just cut any woman over 60. “This is not the Silver Bachelor.”

“He goes, ‘You can’t use the word cut.’ I go, ‘Well, that’s an NFL term.’”

“They asked me, ‘What is my profile?’ Well, [the women] got to be fit because I’m staying in shape, working out, and stuff. And I told them, ‘Try to stay away from the artificial hips and the wigs, you know, that kind of stuff, right?’”

Can we please summon Ariana Madix to put “honest” Mel Owens in his place …

@tmiclipss She’s so unintentionally funny bro 🌚 . Then she gagged him with 24hrs of time left 😂 #fyp #loveislandusa #loveisland #loveislandseason7 #clips #casaamor #arianamadix ♬ original sound – nicoleknowsbest

Lindsay Hubbard Clarifies Her Feelings on Danielle Olivera Joining In the City Lindsay Hubbard is clarifying what she meant on the latest episode of In the City. The reality star responded to a Threads user who accused her of wanting to be “the queen” of the show. “I don’t think people should go on a show and then say, ‘We’re not talking about this. We’re not talking about that because that’s a private matter.’ Okay, then why are you here? That is what I was saying,” the Summer House star wrote. Insert pic ICYMI: During You Only Get Married Twice, Lindsay and Danielle Olivera get into a heated argument at Yvonne and Nick’s wedding dinner. The group questions Danielle and her boyfriend, Eoin Heavey, over their dating timeline since Eoin is still legally married. After spending the season trying to repair her friendship with Lindsay, Danielle finally concludes that Lindsay’s real issue is that she joined In the City. However, according to Lindsay, her frustration isn’t about Danielle joining the cast. Instead, she says it’s about Danielle and Eoin not being transparent while the rest of the cast is expected to be vulnerable and open about their personal lives.
