The first season RHOBH personality’s misdiagnosing and mishandling of Sutton Stracke‘s esophagus issues made it on the American Society of Anesthesiologists‘s radar.
The educational, research and scientific society took to social media to low-key shade Annemarie for misappropriating her role in healthcare.
“The Real Housewives know a fake.”
“Anesthesiologists are medical doctors with more than 12 years of higher education and up to 16,000 hours of clinical training.”
“Title misappropriation has no place in healthcare.”
Annemarie’s rebuttal:
“I do not condone the ASA defamation campaign. Am a CRNA, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.”
“I am extremely proud of my profession,” continued the Bravo TV newbie.
“I will not be accused of title misappropriation because a cast mate needed a storyline or a reality TV show. This is my real life and career.”
“I am not an anesthesiologist, nor have I ever claimed to be one. I have immense respect for physician, anesthesiologists, and I asked that the ASA, and other Anesthesiologists, to respect for CRNAs as well.”
“This type of unhealthy discourse only causes friction and professional division. Political issues exist between physician anesthesiologists and CRNAs, which explains their current attack on me and the CRNA profession.”
“Our goal is anesthesia providers should always be working together in order to best, serve our patients, not competing with one another. My aim is to educate the public on who CRNA’s are, and what we do in providing the highest quality of anesthesia care to those we serve.”
EsophaGATE flop:
It feels like Annemarie tried to win over Bravoholics with agreeing that EsophaGATE was a bust, but couldn’t resist making herself a victim in the process.
“The esophagus storyline was not funny.”
“Watching the show back now, I hate that storyline just as much as everyone else. I would be mad at me too.”
