Andy Cohen gave an update on the status of Real Housewives of New Jersey that debunked a fan theory.
During an appearance on The View, Andy announced, “We are doing casting on Jersey.”
Status update:
“It was really on a deep pause. We are actively there, casting, and looking at the future of what that will be.”
The Watch What Happens Live host then attempted to persuade fans not to fret over the potential changes. He reiterated that he and Bravo believe RHONJ is “a great franchise. We love it.”
Andy confirmed that Bravo would be doing “something different” with the franchise last July. In August, it was reported that the show likely won’t resume filming until some time in 2025. Now, it’s mid-2025 and casting is still underway.
This debunks the fan fiction that Real Housewives of Rhode Island was a RHONJ replacement:
“The cast is incredible,” boasted Andy last month. “Rhode Island is such a small state, and they all kind of know each other and overlap, and it’s an incredible group of women who have really interesting connections. I think it’s going to really surprise people.”
Bravo’s daddy teased, “They are very Italian. They’re in Rhode Island. It’s coastal,” Andy pointed out, calling the yet-to-be-announced stars even ‘more Italian’ with “deep families.”
Andy admitted RHORI “does kind of remind you of early ‘Jersey’ in a weird way.”
Three season 14 RHONJ personalities are confirmed to appear at BravoCon 2025:
Teresa Guidice was first to share her news. Most recently, Melissa Gorga and Margaret Josephs confirmed their attendance on their Instagram stories. We need Andy and a camera on Teresa STAT!
Dolores Catania was rumored to have gotten the call to attend BravoCon, but she nor the network have made an official announcement.
