Andy Cohen boasted how much Bravo TV fans will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Real Housewives of Rhode Island … he even compared it to the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
I couldn’t help but wonder, are we getting RHORI instead of RHONJ?
Andy on the Real Housewives of Rhode Island:
“The cast is incredible,” Andy explained to Page Six. “Rhode Island is such a small state, and they all kind of know each other and overlap, and it’s an incredible group of women who have really interesting connections. I think it’s going to really surprise people.”
Bravo’s daddy added, “They are very Italian.”
The tabloid tattlers earned their coin with their follow-up point … RHONJ has a primarily Italian American cast with family drama. Clocked!
“Well, they’re in Rhode Island. It’s coastal,” Andy pointed out, calling the yet-to-be-announced stars even “more Italian” with “deep families.”
Andy admitted RHORI “does kind of remind you of early ‘Jersey’ in a weird way.”
Again, Page Six did the thing. They asked, “Did the network do a thorough background check this time?”
“When we started ‘Jersey,’ nobody had [done] anything illegal,” answered Andy.
Bravo’s big RHORI announcement:
“Set against the shores of the Ocean State, ‘The Real Housewives’ franchise expands into the world of a tight-knit circle of Rhode Islanders who have deep community roots and families that go back generations.”
The statement continued, “With aspirational lives, thriving businesses and tangled family dynamics, these decade-long friendships prove that in a state this small, there’s no escaping your past … or each other.”
That’s not all …
Bravo also unveiled three new projects currently in the the works.
Fans can look forward to a Shahs of Sunset and Ladies of London reboot, and a Real Housewives edition of Wife Swap.
It’s all happening!
