1000-Lb. Sisters star Amy Slaton was arrested at a Tennessee zoo Monday. Amy was charged with drug possession and child endangerment according to reports from Page Six.
Amy Slaton’s crime:
Deputies were “immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle” at Tennessee Safari Park while responding to a call about a zoo-goer being bitten by a camel.”
The 36-year-old TLC personality was “arrested and charged with illegal possession of schedule I and schedule VI drugs and two counts of child endangerment, authorities confirmed.” Amy’s literal partner-in-crime, Brian Scott Lovvorn, was also arrested on the same charges.
“Both subjects have been booked into the Crockett County Jail,” as per the Sheriff’s department. “The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence.”

Crockett County Sheriff’s Department posted the following to their Facebook page. “FROM FEEDING A CAMEL TO THE SLAMMER ALAMO, TN.”
The message began, “It was no ordinary Labor Day in Crockett County. Deputies were requested to respond to Safari Park where a guest allegedly was bitten by a camel. Upon arrival, deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle.”
The identity of the person bitten by the camel hasn’t been released.
What happened to Michael?
The exes eloped in 2017 and said “I do” in front of TLC cameras during a more formal wedding ceremony two years later. Amy and Michael share sons Gage, 3, and Glenn, 2.
He filed to end their marriage in March 2023, which Amy finalized in September 2023. “Michael requested a restraining order to keep the TLC personality 500 feet away from him. He also asked that they stay 500 feet from each other’s residences.”
