Andy Cohen recently interviewed Tony Award-winning actress Nicole Scherzinger, and Zack Wickham’s name popped up.
Nicole, who won Broadway’s biggest award for her role as Norma Desmond in Sunset Blvd, told Andy about her connection to The Valley star.
All roads lead to Bravo, from Sunset Boulevard to The Valley:
“I have to ask you,” began Andy. “Zack Wickham, who is now on The Valley, was he your assistant?”
“He was,” explained Nicole. Zack was “my sister’s best friend growing up in Kentucky.” Teasing their brother-sister relationship, she quipped, “So, I kind of got stuck with him. Just kidding!”
The former Pussy Cat Dolls lead singer continued, “When he moved to LA, he needed a job and he was my assistant … for many years. Also, [he felt like] a little brother.”
Nicole sang Zack’s praises. “He was great” as my assistant! He’s great. Zack is actually very intelligent. He thinks fast and on his feet. Very intelligent.”
New ways to dream:
I’ve been a fan of Nicole since she appeared on the show Popstars and earned her spot in the girl group Eden’s Crush. From her career’s breakout in 2000, Nicole made it clear she was a Broadway girlie, despite becoming the lead singer of The Pussy Cat Dolls.
Like his former employer, Zack had his eye on the prize for years. Nicole explained, “His big dream was to become a reality TV star.”
Andy was shooketh, so Nicole soothed the father of two (and daddy to Bravoholics). “Babe,” Nicole said to Andy. “That’s all he talked about 24/7.”
Despite Nicole not being a reality TV fan, she told Bravo TV‘s exec, “I was over the moon for him.” Andy told her, “He’s on a big hit show.”
“Good for him,” she beamed. “I hope they get to see all the good sides of him. He’s very funny, full of life. He’s got a great, effervescent energy.”
Andy dug for more deets. “Did you know his friend Brittany [Cartwright] from Kentucky?” The former judge from The Masked Singer replied, “No. I know she was on one of those other shows.”
“Vanderpump Rules,” Andy interjected. “Yes! Vanderpump Rules,” an excited Nicole noted. “So, so happy for them. Especially, coming from Hawaii or Kentucky. That’s where I’m from.”
