Four Real Housewives cast members from around the country get a *taste of reality* for a new take on a classic TV concept – Wife Swap: Real Housewives Edition.
Bravo TV‘s “transformative” new show premieres on October 14th, according to the network’s website.
The cast and logistics:
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Angie Katsanevas, Orange County’s Emily Simpson, Melissa Gorga from New Jersey, and Potomac’s Wendy Osefo leave their husbands, children, and homes for 48 hours while they, well, swap lives with another family.
“Could you imagine swapping lives with someone else?” the ladies asked in the preview.
Instead of intertwining the women’s experiences throughout the four episodes, each installment will focus on a specific housewife’s swap.
Angie in “OVERDRESSED AND UNDERPREPARED”
Back home in Utah, Angie announced to her family, “I’m going to Idaho.” She traveled over 400 miles to realize, “I’m really overdressed and underprepared” when she arrived at her destination.
The press release teased, “Angie Katsanevas, who loves brand names, beauty and micromanaging her family, swaps lives with off-the-grid homesteader and former Mormon Lindsay Flake, whose family lives without electricity, running water and rules. Will Angie survive without her beloved materialistic items? Can Lindsay teach the Katsanevas family to value nature over luxury?
In the preview, Angie tears up recalling her experience. “I had the most spiritual, the most beautiful life lesson, and I had to go so far to see it.”
Angie’s episode drops Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 9 pm.
Wendy in “ALL IS FERRET IN LOVE AND WAR”
Production clocked in when they added horror movie sounds to Wendy’s announcement: “You guys are going to have a new mommy.” But the real horror movie began when Wendy saw the giant stain on her pristine carpet.
“Dr. Wendy Osefo, who runs her busy Maryland household prioritizing strict rules, a tight schedule and education at the forefront, swaps lives with free-spirited Floridian Alethea Shapiro, who prioritizes fun, independence, absolutely no rules and … ferrets. Will Dr. Wendy be able to find the balance between structure and fun? Can Alethea bring a little more spontaneity to the Osefo family?“
Wendy’s episode drops on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 9pm.
Melissa in “TOO COOL FOR GABAGOOL”
“Joe and I are the last couple on Earth that would swap,” begins Melissa in the show’s first preview. But, alas, they swapped!
“Melissa Gorga, a family matriarch who prides herself on her Sunday sauce, strong family values and organization, swaps lives with disorganized vegan and Double Dutch enthusiast Michelle Clark. Will Michelle take a page from Melissa’s perfectionist lifestyle? Can Melissa successfully implement her traditional values and structure into this family?“
When Melissa returns to Jersey, Joe made a joke that made his daughter seemingly want to transport into another dimension.
“I’ve been vegan for 48 hours,” joked Joe. “Do you know how long I’ve been waiting to give you the meat?” FYI, Joe’s fans can see him perform standup in Vegas all three nights of BravoCon 2025.
You can see Melissa’s episode of Wife Swap on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 9pm.
Emily in “DADDY DUTIES VS. DADDY DONT’S”
Emily told her kids she was going to “New Jersey,” which she later joked would make “Shane so uncomfortable.” However, Shane may end up with the last laugh as Emily filmed her confessional with a hog.
“Emily Simpson swaps her modern marriage with do-it-all dad Shane for an old-school marriage with hands-off dad Erik Svensson. When Caley Svensson experiences a laid-back new life in the OC, she tries to crack the tough shell of Emily’s daughter, Annabelle, and helps the family implement more family time. Emily attempts to implement teamwork and structure where she comes to realize how good she has it at home.“
Check out Emily’s episode on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 9pm.
