The Vanderpump Rules reboot is reportedly returning with Lisa Vanderpump and her latest batch of SURvers for their second season. It will be the 13th season for the series.
Sources spilled to TMZ, “The first season since ‘VPR’ rebooted is still coming out, but the network has already decided to bring it back. The show has performed so well on Bravo and Peacock, the network just had to pick it up.” The insider noted that this “isn’t standard timing, it’s an early renewal.”
All of the season 12 cast are expected to come back for their sophomore season. This time, they’ll also be joined by new faces currently being cast.
The season 12 finale and reunion are coming out over the next few weeks. Production on season 13 is set to begin in April.
LVP vs The People:
Lisa Vanderpump declared season 12’s rebooted Vanderpump Rules a success, despite the haters. In December, Page Six reported, “Though the show hit No. 1 on Peacock, reports say it could be cut by Bravo.”
The restauranteur refuted. “Screw the naysayers!”
“I’m very excited about the new cast. Hopefully this time next year they’ll be a pain in my ass, because that’s when you know the show’s a success!”
According to reports from The US Sun last year, however, the rebooted show is already in danger. An alleged insider claimed, “Bravo execs are struggling with the reboot. First of all, they don’t find the show to be as good. That’s the biggest issue. The cast is not landing with the audience like the network thought before they filmed. This big revival turned out to be a letdown.”
