The Valley‘s Tom Schwartz has worked through his deep resentment towards Vanderpump Rules alum Tom Sandoval for the “circus” that their bar/restaurant, Schwartz & Sandy’s, became post-Scandoval.
Schwartz was a guest on E!’s HOT GOSS and described the harsh reality of owning a restaurant, let alone with Tom Sandoval. “It’s like a meat grinder of a business. It’s glamorous on the surface.” Keeping it real, Tom said, It’s cool to have your name on the side of a bar. Very chic. ‘Come check out my bar. I got your tab.’ It’s cool,” he recalled.
But, Tom got a Taste of Reality when a scandal broke that was associated with his business’s name. “Schwartz & Sandy’s, my god, that was an epiphany for me. It made me realize that I don’t want to be a restaurateur. My life went up in flames when the bar closed.”
“I over-leveraged myself. Literally, blood, sweat, tears. I put so much time, money, energy, my heart, and my actual soul into that place. Then to see it just go up in flames.” Tom called the situation “tragic.”
“It was almost impossible not to harbor a lot of resentment towards Tom. It turned into a circus.” Schwartz noted that Sandoval is like family and that time is continuing to heal any lingering wounds.
Never forget, Schwartz & Sandy’s closed at the end of 2024 due the downward spiral that came as a result of Sandoval cheating on Ariana Madix with Rachel ‘Raquel‘ Leviss.
For the record, I had two really positive experiences at Schwartz and Sandy’s back in the day. Here are my thoughts from my first time at the Toms’ establishment.
