The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie PaulĀ is allegedly under investigation for a third domestic violence incident involving her and Dakota Mortensen, her ex-boyfriend/baby daddy.
A police spokesperson in Utah confirmed toĀ NBC NewsĀ that officials were investigating another incident connected to TFP and Dakota, which reportedly occurred in 2024.
What we know so far:
It was reported that Dakota had contacted the stateās Police Department last month. Due to the case being an open investigation, the spokesman declined to provide further details.
While they couldnāt share exact dates regarding the alleged incident, they said that authorities had been reviewing multiple videos.
The police department has yet to speak to TFP regarding the alleged third domestic violence incident. Officials only have the details that Dakota has provided.
Investigators have spoken to Taylorās attorney regarding the matter. Authorities now want TFP to come in for an interview or submit a written statement.
Dakota told police that heād been advised to contact the West Jordan department after initially contacting the Draper Police Department due to the jurisdiction in which the alleged 2024 incident occurred.
TFP’s DV history:
In February 2023, Taylor was arrested in Herriman, Utah, following a physical altercation with Dakota.Ā TFP was accused of hitting Dakota as he tried to leave their residence. She threw “heavy metal chairs” at him, one of which struck her then-5-year-old daughter in the head, causing a “goose-egg” injury.
She was initially charged with felony aggravated assault, domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse, and criminal mischief. In August 2023, Taylor pleaded guilty to a third-degree felony count ofĀ aggravated assault.
If she completes three years of probation without further law violations, the charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor … well, that didn’t happen.
New allegations surfaced in February and March 2026. Dakota filed for a protective order and temporary custody of their son, Ever. He claimed that Taylor choked him and struck him during arguments on February 23 and 24. The Draper City Police Department confirmed an active “domestic assault investigation” with “allegations made in both directions.”
FTR, producers from The Bachelorette knew of the ‘metal chair’ incident when Taylor was cast as the franchise’s lead. Her season wasn’t canceled until the video found itself on the internet.
