Survivor: China alum Jaime Dugan is under investigation for failing to return her 16-year-old son, Harper, to his father, Erik Huffman, after a weekend visit in August.
ICYMI, Erik met Jaime on Survivor: China in 2007. They were married in 2009 and split in 2024. Erik reportedly has primary custody of Harper.
An Instagram account has been created to raise awareness about the case. According to the first post, Harper was “last seen with his mother (who does not have custody and has fled the state with him)” in Cayce, South Carolina.
A spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly, “The FBI is aware of the public information regarding Jamie [sic] Dugan and her son. However, the FBI does not comment on the existence or nonexistence of any investigation. If the public sees Dugan, they should contact local authorities or 911.”
A missing-person poster was shared with a photo of Harper. It said that he is “believed to be abducted” by Dugan and “believed to be in danger.” The poster continued, “He has Autism Spectrum Disorder and has not been able to contact his father, who has legal custody.”
Jaime Dugan told The Daily Mail, “I am absolutely not on the run.” She explained, “The FBI has not contacted me whatsoever, and Harper has done wellness checks with four officers.”
Her ex has a different story. “Harper’s safety and well-being is my top priority right now, and getting him back safely is extremely important. I hate that he’s been ripped away. He was really coming into his own and had a very stable life with me.”
