Stassi Schroeder recounted one of her birthday episodes from Vanderpump Rules that she left a sour taste in her mouth. On an episode of her podcast, Stassi disclosed, “When I look back on that [Las Vegas] birthday, I am kind of like, ‘Wait. I was the victim.'”
“Sorry, but I really feel that way. What?!”
It’s her fucking birthday!
The now mother of two reminded her listeners, “Jax [Taylor] cheated on me. No one believed me. I rebounded. No one liked that guy. Granted, everyone was correct. He sucked, too.”
“But, they let my ex-boyfriend who cheated on me crash my birthday and [Tom] Schwartz poured a beer on me and everyone left me in my fucking limo, yet I’m the villain that season?!?! What?! Misogyny what?!?!”
Breaking the cycle:
Stassi won’t allow her daughter to accept the treatment from others that she endured while filming Pump Rules. “No. The way I will show Hartford that episode one day and be like, ‘No. We don’t accept this behavior from people.'”
“That’s how I feel. I feel bad for myself. That night, I remember, I didn’t want to be alone. The guy who shall not be named because he tried to sell my sex tape, he got kicked out of the whole filming experience in Vegas. Therefore, our hotel room. I didn’t want to be alone, so I went and slept in Peter Madrigal‘s guest bed.”
Enter Peter and production:
Stassi begged Peter to give her a safe space. “It was so depressing. I was also with my producers that night because all of my friends left me and I had no one to hang with except Peter Madrigal and the producers, who felt bad for me.”
“But, I remember sitting there a producer and I asked him, ‘Who do you think I should believe? Do you think my new dude or Jax? Who do I believe?” The producer answered, “Jax. It’s Jax. You have to believe Jax.”
“I will never forget that. I was like, ‘You’re wrong. I’m not saying you’re right about the other dude, but I know when someone’s lying. And I think you’re wrong. I am going to respectfully disagree. I know I’m the one who asked the question, but I disagree. I’m going to continue on my own path of what I think is right.’ So, that was a cool birthday.”
