Sean Lowe was attacked twice by his dog within the same weekend.
The season 17 Bachelor and his wife Catherine Giudici (who he meet during his season) posted a video together detailing the “traumatizing” accident that took place last weekend.
The first attack came last Thursday. Sean hosted a backyard barbecue with friends while his wife took their three small kids to the mall.
The family left the windows open to take advantage of the beautiful weather. Smoke began to drift into the home, setting off the smoke detector.
The father of three rushed inside to waft the smoke away.
Unfortunately, this set off a trigger for their dog, Moose.
The boxer, who they adopted three months ago, began to “aggressively” nip at both Sean and the dish towel.
The attack
“I feel him just rip into the flesh of my arm,” Sean detailed. “And at this point I’m doing everything I can to fend this dog off.”
The Bachelor alum attempted to restrain the dog multiple times to no avail.
“I felt like I was fighting for my life.”
After containing Moose in the house, Sean’s friends rushed him to the hospital where he received stitches.
The next attack came the following morning when Sean’s parents came to pick up their 2 sons and daughter so that he could properly rest and heal.
However, Moose escaped and charged at him once again.
Thankfully the children were rushed into a neighbor’s home, unharmed. The reality star had to restrain their family dog for 10 minutes before the authorities arrived.
Sean ends the video reiterating that he doesn’t place blame on his dog for the vicious attacks as it’s clear Moose was likely abused in a former home. Moose is also believed to have a neurological condition.
