Scheana Shay claims production put “pressure” on her and Lala Kent to create drama at the season 11 reunion between Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval to avoid Vanderpump Rules getting “canceled.”
Summer Moon’s mom alleged VPR production was in Scheana’s ear reminding her Ariana still lived with Sandoval and the exes are committed to be on a show together which made her feel pressured to facilitate Ariana filming with Tom after the Broadway actress was abundantly clear she wasn’t comfortable around her cheating ex.
Eventually, Scheana was able to empathize with Ariana not wanting to film an unauthentic scene with Sandoval. “There are two things that can be true at the same time. Seeing [Ariana] stand her ground, I’m like, ‘Respect.’ You didn’t cave and you held onto your boundary.”
But, Scheana explained, “That wasn’t the frustrating thing. In that moment when Lala lost her shit and I was like, ‘ I agree with you,’ it was a whole season of feeling like we all had to walk on eggshells.”
Scheana’s blame game:
“Alex Baskin has said mid-season, [Pump Rules] was not in a good place. X, y, and z need to happen or we’ll have a short season and the show’s going to be cancelled. That’s it. Go live your lives.'”
Also, Scheana said “Lala and I felt a lot of pressure after” Alex spoke to them about Ariana living in the same house with Tom.
This isn’t the first time Scheana attempted to deflect attention away from the way she chose to behave. Earlier this month, Scheana named the producer who the VanderVerse saw speaking to Ariana in the last scene of VPR11. “Jeremiah said, ‘Let it all out. Whatever you want to say, go! Go for it.’ He was very frustrated [with Ariana] that day. To get walked out on, it was a slap in the face to everyone.”

- Stop blaming Ariana!!!! There’s others on the show. Ariana showed up! She filmed with him she chose not to have a conversation with him because it was inauthentic. Scheana can kick rocks!

- Your livelihood being wrapped up in a reality show is not Ariana’s fault. Hello! Even excellent scripted shows come to an end. So Schema and Blahla were annoyed with Ariana because she’s the only one we want yo watch?
