Southern Charm‘s Rodrigo Reyes spoke on why several cast members admitted they are “scared” of Craig Conover.
While Rodrigo gets along with “everyone,” he told Us Weekly why several Bravo TV personalities are “hesitant” around Craig.
For context:
During the season 10 reunion trailer, which was released in March, Austen Kroll confessed, “I am terrified of Craig. I feel like, I’m just going to get backhanded for, like, stepping out of line.”
Host Andy Cohen then asked, “Anyone else scared of him?” At the time, Rodrigo, Austen, 37, Leva Bonaparte, JT Thomas and Venita Aspen all raised their hands.
Rodrigo clocked Craig:
“Craig wants things his way,” and that’s off-putting to many. When asked why the cast was on edge around Craig, Rodrigo was able to see where the Sewing Down South was coming from.
“I can be the same way, and sometimes that can come across as being domineering, I guess.”
Rodrigo, who joined the cast during season 9 in 2023, explained, “I just feel like sometimes it’s easy to take a step back [and] not take yourself so seriously.” Many would argue that’s not so easy for Craig. In fact, Rodrigo noted that Craig’s seriousness is “probably” what made the cast hesitant to set him off.
Rodrigo hopes to see a change in Craig:
“Craig is a very busy person,” recognized Rodrigo. “His business is growing, expanding, and he’s very driven in that sense. I think that’s kind of, like, his ambition. Sometimes, maybe he can stop and reflect and be there for his friends.”
He continued, “Now that Craig’s single, [I hope he] spends more time with his friends.” Then, maybe “we can get back to us just having a good time. That’s what I’m hopeful for, and I just want everyone to have a good time.”
