Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Jennifer Aydin responded to a claim her co-star Jackie Goldschneider made about the Aydin’s Jersey mansion during appearance on Watch What Happens Live!
Jackie’s accusation:
ICYMI, Jackie scoffed, “Welcome to the Taj Mahal. If the Taj Mahal had a huge mortgage… and no furniture” while a guest on WWHL earlier this month.
The shade.
Jennifer’s clap back:
Jennifer also joined Andy Cohen as a virtual guest on WWHL and used the late night platform to set the record straight.
“I found it interesting because I don’t have a mortgage. I paid for this property cash, and we built it halfway, we paid with bank check, and the rest was a construction loan to finish the build. So, I actually don’t have a mortgage. Check that, attorney!”
The receipts:
Page Six did the Lord’s work and dug up some documents that explain how the Aydin estate was purchased.
“Secured in 2014, the Aydins’ mortgage — clearly labeled at the top of the page — states the couple owes $1.875 million plus interest to be paid in full by June 1, 2044. Attached to the end of the mortgage is a construction rider that states the Bravolebrity and the plastic surgeon took out a loan to complete the construction of their manse. The payouts would be given out ‘in installments as the work progresses.’”
The document further explained once the house was built, the Aydins were required to pay the total outstanding balance with interest monthly.
Sounds like a mortgage to me….
