Garcelle Beauvais didn’t mince words when she spoke of her former friendship with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘s Sutton Stracke.
Garcelle promoted her new Lifetime movie, Taken at a Truck Stop: A Black Girl Missing, on Watch What Happens Live and confirmed her friendship with Sutton is “completely over.”
Sutton didn’t own her actions:
Andy inquired if the friendship was shattered because Sutton failed to have Garcelle’s back at the reunion.
“Not only did she not have my back,” began Garcelle, “when she called me, she never took accountability for it. That hurt my feelings a lot.”
“We were really close. My kids would call her,” revealed Garcelle.
Still, the actress/model/Executive Producer looks back on the friendship “fondly.”
“We had some really good laughs. We were there for each other. Well, mostly me there for her. But, I don’t regret it.”
“My time on [RHOBH] was phenomenal, for the most part. Honestly, really fun.”
Garcelle on her Real Housewives departure:
During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, Garcelle shared her gratitude for her time on Bravo. “[RHOBH] was great in terms that I got a new audience and there were really wonderful things that happened because of the show. But I think my time was up.” She doesn’t see herself returning “anytime soon.”
Garcelle clarified that contracts and/or money didn’t have a role in her walking away from Bravo’s hit show. “I just couldn’t do it anymore. It was really hurting my spirit. That was really it. I couldn’t physically, mentally, spiritually do it anymore.”
“I’ve been really great about choosing me when I’m faced with something. I’ve done it with relationships; I’ve done it in other places where I felt like, ‘If I don’t choose me, it will probably not work out for me.’ I have faith, and I just knew it was time.”
