Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie Amanda Frances came for Dorit Kemsley during an interview with Us Weekly.
During season 15, episode six of RHOBH, Dorit gave Amanda a verbal laceration for talking about her failed marriage to PK Kemsley behind her back. Amanda explained it was the anniversary of her son’s death, and she didn’t have the capacity for Dorit’s drama. Dorit wouldn’t let the mouse go.
In the preview for next week’s episode, Amanda accused Dorit of verbally accosting her at another dinner table.
Real Housewives of Semantics:
“Listen,” began Amanda. “The Webster’s definition of ‘accosted‘ is to come at someone aggressively. It says aggression and something else – I’d have to look it up. Textbook definition.”
Here’s the textbook definition from Merriam-Webster, for the record.
Accosted– To approach and speak to (someone) in an often challenging or aggressive way. It implies an unwanted or intrusive interaction. Historically, it meant to approach or draw near, or, in heraldry, to be side by side.
The Money Queen continued, “It felt very aggressive to me in that moment. And it felt out of nowhere. Is the average person going to consider that a verb – a verbal accosting? I don’t know, maybe not.”
While she questioned the use of the verb, Amanda’s point remains consistent. “I don’t know that anyone gets to tell me how to feel or experience things on that day.”
“I think the minute I told her what the day was, it should have been, ‘I’m so sorry; I had no idea.'”
