Cynthia Bailey’s ex posted the following message from Miami’s Federal Bureau of Prisons. “All my people told me not to post this, that I am crazy if I do. I am not CRAZY, just real as fuck.”
“The first thing I must say to all new business owner, please pay that withholding tax, you do not want to be in the position that I am right now.”
“THE LAW IS THE LAW. It’s not easy for us Black men, especially in my industry. No bank fund restaurant/bar/lounge, we have to put that shit on us 💯.”
“This is a NEW chapter in my life. It’s called accountability and responsibility. My road to redemption: I have 3 black sons, and I must lead by example.”

The former husband of RHOA‘s Cynthia Bailey, Peter Thomas, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison.
The restauranteur failed to pay the government more than $2.5 million in employment taxes. According to reports from The Baltimore Banner, Peter will spend two years on supervised release and was ordered to pay restitution.
Peter pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Charlotte, North Carolina, to one count of failure to pay over trust fund taxes back in June.
“Between 2017 and 2023, Thomas caused Club One CLT, Sports ONE, Sports ONE CLT, PT Media, Bar One Miami Beach, and Bar One Baltimore to fail to pay employment taxes.” That includes “more than $1.7 million that was taken from the paychecks of his workers,” as per reports from federal prosecutors.
