Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe, aka Nicolandria, have gone their separate ways.
PEOPLE exclusively revealed that the Love Island USA Season 7 fan-favorite couple has called it quits.
A source told the outlet:
“The distance between them and their busy schedules made it challenging to maintain their connection,” the statement began.
“They still remain close friends. They share a deep love and respect for each other and will always support one another whenever possible.”
In Case You Missed It: Nic and Olandria’s romance began after production chose to save them in a first-ever Casa Amor twist.
Olandria was originally coupled up with Taylor Williams, who ultimately chose Casa bombshell Clarke Carraway.
Meanwhile, Nic was coupled with Cierra Ortega, who was removed from the villa after racially insensitive posts resurfaced online.
The pair got a second chance at romance and quickly became fan favorites, despite not winning the season.
Now that Love Island USA Season 8 has wrapped and crowned its winners, I couldn’t help but wonder if the timing of this breakup announcement was intentional.
