After having a wildly successful reunion with the Bravosphere on Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, Nene Leakes doesn’t see herself rejoining the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast anytime soon.
In an interview with the Big Tiger Morning Show, the former peach-holder made it clear that while she’d happily spend time with the RHOA women, she has no desire to return to the franchise full-time.
“I’ll go and play with them. But as far as me actually holding a peach and all and sitting on that (reunion) couch, no, girl. I can’t do that. That’ll drive me crazy. It’s a lot to do.”
Nene also stressed that she has no lingering animosity toward the show or her former castmates. “I don’t have anything against the franchise. I don’t have any grudges held over here, none at all. As I said before, they did what they did, and I did what I did. I’m not holding any grudges.”
While Nene admitted that she “felt some kind of way” about how things played out with RHOA in the past, she said she’s since moved on. “At first, I felt some kind of way … for a while. You have to get over things. But I have healed from that. I have moved on.”
In fact, Nene would be happy to reunite with the Housewives under very different circumstances. Rather than returning to the drama-filled reality show, she’d prefer to host the women on a trip.
“One of the things I would love to do with the girls to be honest with you. I would love to go and host them on a great trip somewhere. We have a great time and then I go back home, ‘See y’all later.’ Y’all go back and be housewives over there and do whatever it is y’all are doing. I don’t see myself EVER sitting on a couch doing a reunion and talking.”
