Despite the rumors that Victoria Beckham, Melanie (Mel) C, Emma Bunton, Mel B, and Geri Halliwell-Horner would reunite for a 30-year comeback tour was indeed only rumors … and millennial hope.
Girl power didn’t power through💔
Three decades since the release of their debut single Wannabe, ‘Ginger, Baby, Scary, Sporty, and Posh’ failed to reach an agreement to move forward.
Confirming the news during an interview on The Smallzy Show on Australia’s KIIS Radio, Mel C announced, “No. There is no reunion.”
But, Sporty said, the Girls are “communicating all the time. We want to do something, [but] who knows when.”
“I still feel very optimistic,” continued Mel C, “and I keep my fingers crossed that you will see the Spice Girls together at some point in the future.”
The Spice Girls were ‘Slamming it to the left, and Shaking it to the right’ towards a reunion:
Last April, Geri’s chicas were to the front as she was back in touch with the band’s former manager, Simon Fuller. In fact, ‘Ginger’ had flown out to Miami to try to agree on a deal with Simon, who is estranged from RHOBH’s ‘friend of,’ Natalie Swanston Fuller.
Mel C. insisted they were still in active discussions about celebrating the milestone earlier this year. Even Victoria commented that she “loves” the idea of a Spice Girls residency at the Las Vegas Sphere. “How good would the Spice Girls be at the Sphere! I love the idea of it. I mean, I don’t know if I could even still sing.” She quipped, “I was never that great!”
In October, Posh said, “It would be tempting, but could I take on a world tour? No, I can’t. I have a job.”
Speaking of Mel C:
In another ‘all roads lead to Bravo‘ moment, Mel C. is DJing at West Hollywood’s Pride Festival alongside Real Housewives of New York’s Countess Luann de Lesseps.
The festival’s headliners are The Pussycat Dolls, and also features performances from Ashlee Simpson, Ava Max, Jade, and many more.
