With reality TV competition shows gaining popularity, it’s no surprise that more networks have begun including RuPaul’s Drag Race personalities to their line-ups.
Why wouldn’t they? Where else are production companies going to find the Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent that RuPaul’s girls personify?
Without further ado, here’s a full list of RuPaul’s Race Race US to reality TV competition show pipeline …
Adore Delano
Having first appeared as a contestant on the seventh season of American Idol, Adore later made a name for herself on RPDR on season 6, and again on All Stars season 2.
Post Drag Race, Adore appeared on MTV‘s Ex on the Beach.
Alaska
Season 5’s Alaska Thunderf*ck went on to win All Stars season 2.
In 2017, Alaska competed as a contestant on the horror-themed VH1 reality competition series Scared Famous.
She was the first and only drag queen to ever appear on the show.
Alyssa Edwards
Straight out of Mesquite, Texas, Alyssa competed on season 5 of RPDR, All Stars 2, and RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars.
Outside of the RPDR universe, Justin Johnson appeared on America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 16 in 2021 as the director and choreographer of her Texas-based dance troupe, Beyond Belief Dance Company.
In 2024, Alyssa was also featured as a contestant on Amazon Freevee’s The GOAT, where she finished in ninth place.
Courtney Act
American Drag Race fans met Australian drag queen and singer, Courtney Act, appeared on RPDR season 6.
Courtney is considered one of the biggest reality-TV crossover successes across all of Ru’s international Drag Race iterations. She won Celebrity Big Brother UK: Year of the Woman, and competed on two Aussie shows, Dancing with the Stars and The Masked Singer. She also appeared on Celebrity Come Dine With Me.
Bob the Drag Queen
After winning season 8 of RPDR, Bob competed on season 3 of The Traitors US.
Monét X Change
The season 10 winner – who later won All Stars season 4 – Monet, like her BFF, Bob TDQ, competed on The Traitors US.
Jade Jolie
On Drag Race season 5, Jade was all rainbows and sunshine. Later, she unleashed her full drag monster fantasy as a contestant on The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula 4th season.
She became the first-ever Drag Race queen to compete on Dragula.
Kandy Muse
The Kandy Muse entered Drag Race on season 13 and later competed on All Stars 8.
She starred in the second season of E!’s House of Villains, bringing her signature dramatic flair. Kandy was the show’s first drag queen contestant.
Laganja Estranja
After making a huge splash on Drag Race season 6, Laganja Estranja returned to reality TV as a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance season 15 and Season 16.
Notably, she made history as the first contestant to ever audition for the show in full drag.
Peppermint
Season 9 competitor, Peppermint, was the first Drag Race alum to appear on The Traitors US. Unfortunately, Peppermint was the first Faithful murrrdered on season 1.
Plane Jane
The quick-witted season 16 dragtestant made her way to season 3 of House of Villains. Here’s hoping we see Plane back on Drag Race in a future All Stars season!
Shangela
Halleloo to RuPaul’s Drag Race seasons 2 and 3 competitor, who later appeared on All Stars 3, was a finalist on Dancing With the Stars‘ 31st season.
Paired with Gleb Savchenko (aka Natasha), the pair performed one of my personal favorite freestyles of all time.
Vanessa Vanjie Mateo
The highly memed Drag Race legend from seasons 10, 11, and All Stars 9, Vanjie competed on Paramount+’s All Star Shore — a party-themed competition series within the Jersey Shore universe completely out of drag.
Vanjie also had her own dating show, Vanjie: 24 Hours of Love, on WOW Presents Plus.
Utica Queen
After appearing on RPDR’s 13th season, the drag queen/designer competed out of drag as Ethan Mundt on Project Runway.
The Vivienne
The late Drag Race UK winner who later competed on All Stars 7 US, appeared on Dancing on Ice (UK) and Celebrity Sewing Bee (UK).
