Mayci Neeley has thoughts about the demise of MomTok and who is to blame.
The Mormon Wives star added her two cents amid the ongoing social media feud involving Taylor Frankie Paul versus essentially, well, everyone else besides Jessi Draper.
Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives recently premiered on Hulu, reigniting the drama surrounding Taylor’s return from filming The Bachelorette season that never was.
Currently, the group is filming Season 6, which had a major cast disruption earlier this week.
On Sept. 14, Mikayla Matthews announced on Instagram that she would “not be continuing the show at this moment.”
Mikayla explained that she was uncomfortable continuing to be part of something that, in her view, “platforms” behavior she doesn’t agree with, particularly given her own childhood experiences with abuse.
Meanwhile, Taylor Frankie Paul has been going back and forth with Miranda Hope and Layla Taylor in the comment sections.
Taylor alleged that her costars are “jealous” of her and called them out for only ever apologizing to her privately.
Layla, however, clapped back.
“Jealous of the girl who only has 8 hours of supervised time with her kids? Don’t wait up on the call love.”
ICYMI:
TMZ recently reported that Taylor allegedly failed multiple court-ordered drug tests amid her ongoing custody disputes.
According to the outlet’s sources, Taylor’s parenting time was subsequently limited to eight hours per week: four hours with the two children she shares with ex-husband Tate Paul and four hours with her son Ever, whom she shares with Dakota Mortensen.
And that brings us back to Mayci, who summed up the current state of MomTok with one sentence:
“[Taylor] may have ‘started’ MomTok but she also destroyed it.”
A majority of the SLOMW cast has indicated they’re continuing with Season 6, but the group itself appears more fractured than ever.
So, to answer the age-old question that has become the longest-running bit on this show:
No, I don’t think MomTok will survive this one.
