Mauricio Umansky’s family is taking legal action in support of their father, Eduardo Umansky.
TMZ exclusively reports that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s family has filed a lawsuit against Eduardo’s longtime girlfriend, Simin Tabibnia, accusing her of financial elder abuse.
According to court documents, Mauricio’s sister — and Eduardo’s conservator — Sharon Umansky Bento alleges that Simin took advantage of Eduardo as his cognitive health declined.
His doctor reportedly noted mental impairment as early as 2021.
The filing claims that by late 2024, Eduardo was bouncing checks and his retirement account had dropped from $1.2 million to $610,000 in a short period.
The family alleges that in 2023 alone, Simin spent more than $150,000 of Eduardo’s money on personal expenses, including jewelry, cosmetic procedures, and car payments — all without family authorization.
They further claim Eduardo paid $22,750 in 2022, $153,314 in 2023, and $225,000 in 2024 toward Simin’s expenses, totaling approximately $401,064.
The lawsuit comes months after the family obtained a restraining order against Simin on Eduardo’s behalf.
They are seeking more than $400,000 in damages.
Notably, Simin previously filed her own restraining order against Eduardo last year, alleging abuse — claims his family has denied.
