Vanderpump Rules‘ matriarch Lisa Vanderpump told TMZ what fans can expect from season 12’s rebooted cast.
It’s All Happening (again):
“It got a great reception,” began LVP. “They’re ready for it all over again. Can you believe, starting from scratch?!”
“Their personalities [makes them different]. They are naughty, they are young, they’re ready.”
When asked if Lisa thought there would be cheating in this friend group after what happened with Scandoval, she joked, “That would be a good thing. But, I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
The announcement:
Bravo TV‘s official Instagram page posted the trailer and a release date for season 12 of Vanderpump Rules. “The shift change starts now. An all-new season of #PumpRules shakes things up on December 2nd🍸.”
Joining the Bravosphere for VPR season 12 are Venus Binkley, Jason Cohen, Shayne Davis, Chris Hahn, Angelica Jensen, Marcus Johnson, Audrey Lingle, Natalie Maguire, Demy Selem, and Kim Suarez.
Bravo TV’s executive Alex Baskin teased the new VPR:
Bravo TV exec Alex Baskin was interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter and gave Vanderpump Rules fans a tease of what to expect from season 12. “I am so excited for the audience to watch a series that has a lot of the hallmarks of the original but feels completely different.”
“We are not trying to make the series that we did the first time around, and it’s sort of got back to the basic principles of that show, which is falling around a group of interconnected coworkers and friends at SUR.”
“This group just happens to be very different. So, it’s Gen Z and their relationships to each other, to the world, are very different. But, it still has all of the really fun, juicy ingredients.”
“I understand the skepticism,” acknowledged Alex. “I know that to the audience, this feels like an exercise in putting forward an imposter, but I really would encourage everyone to stick with us and give us a chance, because I think they’re going to be won over.”
“They’re going to see that the show naturally came together, because, again, we didn’t force together a group that didn’t exist, and it’s a lot of fun, and it really captures the life stage that we saw in the early days of Vanderpump Rules.”
“I’m excited to reverse everyone’s skepticism and convert that into enjoyment and passion for the new series.”
