Lisa Rinna shared surprising details surrounding the death of her late father, Frank Rinna.
(Content Warning: the below references topics associated with suicide.)
Lisa revealed on her podcast, Let’s Not Talk About the Husband, that in 2016, her father died from assisted suicide.
Frank was 94-years-old when his quality of life plummeted to a point where “he wanted to transition.”
Assisted suicide may not be legal nationwide, but it is recognized in Oregon with two doctors’ written consent.
The former Beverly Hills housewife recalled it being a “trippy, out of body experience” to witness.
“The pills were supposed to come on a Tuesday,” Lisa detailed.
“When they set their mind to this, they’re ready, so they didn’t come until Thursday, and my dad was so mad that the pills didn’t come.”
Lisa and her half-sister were in charge of making the concoction that her father would take to transition.
“It tastes like sh-t. It’s sour. But he’s got to drink it down.”
The “peaceful” process took about 45 minutes — set to Frank Sinatra.
“They just go to sleep, by the way. So it’s not anything gruesome. They just fall asleep.”
“It was surreal” she said on the March 28 episode.
P.S. Frank’s hospice nurse was the same nurse Lois used (Lisa’s mother) when she passed away just five years later after suffering a stroke.
