While The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season five is rumored to have only 5 episodes – rather than the usual 10 – Layla Taylor revealed that Hulu ordered a sixth season.
During an interview on Hulu’s Get Real podcast, Layla revealed, “We’re not done with season 5, and we’re filming for season 6 right now.”
The MomToker described the grueling film schedule. “It’s so hard. We have this battle that we all of us girls talk about. When we’re not filming, I miss it. And I honestly get kind of bored. So much happens too conveniently when the cameras go down. So, it’s like at this point, just let’s just film the whole year.”
It was reported that Taylor Frankie Paul was not actively filming regular scenes for season 5 of SLOMW. She only returned to shoot the show’s opening credits/intro sequence following a production pause prompted by her legal and domestic issues, which resulted in her season of The Bachelorette being canceled.
