Lala Kent explained why her situation with Randall Emmett is different from Ariana Madix‘s situation with Tom Sandoval.
During an interview with Jeff Lewis, Lala detailed how her physically leaving her ex after their breakup makes the Vanderpump Rules stars’ situations completely different.
Double standard?
Jeff asked Lala why she felt she could be upset with Tom Schwartz for hanging out with Randall after Lala left him, but why Lala is having such a hard time with Ariana setting boundaries around her former life partner post-Scandoval.
“I also wasn’t living under the same roof as him,” began Lala.”I think that’s where maybe [Ariana is] losing a couple of people in the group.”
‘Safety’ concerns were different for Lala than Ariana:
“You’re talking about how you feel unsafe, yet you live in the same home as him. That’s also what was kind of losing me all season.”
“We’re talking about, ‘This devastated me,’ but you met a new guy 10 days later?! So, I wanted her to explain how all of these things can be true at once. And I was looked at as kind of an idiot. Like, ‘How could you not even understand this? You felt unsafe with your ex.'”
Lala retaliated, “So unsafe that I basically moved in the middle of the night and paid cash for an Airbnb because I didn’t want a paper trail left” for Randall to track.
“Like, I was legitimately living in fear. So, you’re using all the same words that I am using – I can fucking relate to that – it’s the other things I need you to explain a little bit.”

- Theres a difference between emotional safety and physical safety. Lala is committed to conflate them 🤷🏽♀️
- Lala went very hard against Sandoval and there were some double standards with the way she handled things. Yet, at the same time, she’s making some valid points.
- Ariana helped pay for the house unlike Lala is what’s different
- Ariana means unsafe as with her well-being and emotions. Not physical unsafe. What a way to twist her words.
- Feeling emotionally and mentally unsafe is not the same as feeling physically unsafe which she has NEVER implied.
- Lala did not own her home with her baby daddy. wtf is wrong with everyone expecting her to take the financial hit and not him. because she protects her interests, she is full of 💩 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♂️
